Mediation
Mediation is a way of reaching agreement in a dispute with the help of a neutral third party. The mediator will help the disputing parties to find a solution which satisfies them by a gradual process of "shuttle diplomacy". A court may require you to try mediation before the case goes before a judge. Robert Batho is a CEDR accredited mediator who can act as the neutral third party provided that he has not been involved in the dispute before.
The Code of Practice that we work to, and a sample Mediation Agreement, may make matters clearer – but please call to discuss the situation. Fees are normally charged on a fixed daily basis payable by the parties in equal shares.
